Daniel Alemayehu Artist Statement: I have been a full-time mix-media artist working on painting and sculpture. As we know COVID-19 has changed our lives and our world. To protect ourselves and our families, we stay home. As a visual artist, I am able to be more productive; this time has allowed me to complete this exhibition connecting sound with visual art. It’s a project I have worked on for a few years now, building integrating musical instruments with calabash and bamboo.
